Give a man a meal, and he will have something to eat today but teach him how to garden and he will have a meal everyday and the whole neighborhood get tomatoes.

Community Gardening

Do4SA is a registered NPO/PBO in the eastern cape & has been established for the promotion of good works in south Africa. To shake off negativity from the mindsets of many South Africans through various different grass root community projects.

Providing aid & relief to the many impoverished communities in the Nelson Mandela Bay metropole.

In September 2021 we embarked on an amazing journey with one of the leading development trusts in Gqeberha.

Ezethu development trust has collaborated with Do4SA to tackle Socio Economic Development in the Nelson Mandela Bay Metro by starting the Eco Buddies Imifuno Guide to Gardening initiative.

Equipped over 130 Garden Managers

This project aims to create 50 000 2m x 1m self-sustainable community vegetable gardens in & around Gqeberha. 

To date we have managed to establish 26 garden manager on the 27th of January 2022 which impacted 130 individuals directly in Zwide, 17 garden managers on the 02nd of February 2022 which impacted 85 individuals directly in Motherwell, 12 garden managers on the 4th of February which impacted 60 individuals directly in Jackson Ville, 17 garden managers on the 1st of March 2022 which impacted 85 individuals directly Boysens Park, 12  garden managers on the 3rd of March which impacted 60 individuals directly in New Brighton.

Monthly Community Garden Training

For the first quarter an additional 20 pupils were trained in Kwadwesi which impacted the livelihood of 100 individuals directly, 12 individuals in Walmer township which impacted the livelihoods of 60 individuals & 21 pupils in Joe Slovo which impacted the livelihoods of 105 individuals directly. 

Every month we conduct community garden trainings for impoverished communities.

This project is not only touching the lives of individuals but, Touching the lives of households, schools, daycares & so much more. Knowledge is the best power anyone can have. Therefor we are empowering people to take control of their own situations. Do4SA would like to thank you Ezethu Development Trust once again for this amazing opportunity to touch & change the lives of so many.
