Do4SA currently empowers female candidates with the skill of Coding and App development. Our vision is to prepare the youth for the wave of the 4th industrial revolution sweeping the continent of Africa.
Summary
Project Coding aims to train candidates on in-demand IT skills and provide internships. Your donation will empower a previously marginalized women and youth to face the 4th Industrial revolution sweeping South Africa. With South Africa facing high unemployment and poverty ; Project Code is a lifeline for our youth and our mentorship will prepare candidates for the exciting world of Informational technology.
Challenge
SOUTH AFRICA’S YOUTH UNEMPLOYMENT PROBLEM: “unemployment rate among young people ,…young people have become discouraged with the labour market …not building on their skills base through education and training”. A SHORTAGE of 20000 -70000 skilled ICT Professionals in South Africa according to BizTechAfrica. 5000 students graduating from ICT faculties around the country are largely unemployable and lacking in practical skills

Project Coding: – Offers Vocational qualifications and in-demand, marketable skills. -Offers practical, training , mentorship. -Offers consistently high quality and service. -Places learners into internship positions Uses technology-enhanced learning. -Is in touch with industry needs. We will be able to create an employable candidate with qualifications and skills that are in high demand, ensuring successful job placement thereby reducing the skills shortage in South Africa.
Long-Term Impact
Project Coding will empower a low income candidate to take control of their education. Reduce the skills shortage in the Information and Technology sector. Contribute significantly towards social equity, economic and social development.
